Go to Tools>Settings>Brightness & Volume and see if the the Volume is at least over the half way mark. If not, then slide it to the right as you require.

I am still annoyed with my oversensitive microphone. It is way too sensitive.

I love having the voice recorder in the X610. I used to carry a PDA to record my notes which meant 2 items to lose, break and keep powered - and carry.

However the voice recorder on the X610 is way too sensitive. A slight breeze while I am dictating and the whole message when replayed is just a huge garbled mess. And that's before I have my daily bottle of red wine! I have tried protecting the GPS by speaking into my jumper, but that only has limited success. (the wind still gets through)

The PDA was fine in these situations - unless you spoke in full blast wind.

The sensitivity is appropriate and fine for inside use, but the very nature of the GPS is to use it outside where it is exposed to the natural elements.

Is this something that Magellan can tweek with in some way so that it is a bit more robust when speaking into it outdoors?
