User Question concerning the internal battery on the 510 610 710
Recently we had a customer question on the internal battery soldered to the motherboard of the explorist 510 610 and 710 .. here is the answer.

If you look at the motherboard images we posted for the motherboards of the 510 610 and 710, you will see an internal battery.

This battery is a Secondary Lithium Battery, rated at 5.5 mAh, 3.3V and is a button cell.  It is rated for 100 cycles.

This battery functions as a backup power supply for memory and/or clock (MPU) functions.
