:S a new GC???
Well, they should know what the maket wants... but on other hand 129$ from BassPro, that will result in a street price of 99$

But let's wait for the Specs to come...

If an entirely new device, I want a killer eTrex 30.
310 + GLONASS + SD + Mirasol Screen (readable in the sun without light and economical), 30 hours of battery life. All this is real today.

I also tend to a pimped 310, as an answer to the ETrex30

Such a 410 was denied from officials in the past. I don't hope, it is a completly new device. I guess, it would probably lead into the triton ending.

I'd like to see a 310 + SD-card + baro + compass. So, this is my bet for now. 😛

What's the point of a 310/410 that would cost almost as much as a 510 with that little tiny screen?

I agree with S!G, it would be like the Tritons all over again.

When in trouble or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout

New unit? The eXplorist 410?
Will it be a eX310 with SD card? or a eX510 without??

This is a very good sign. Try to persuade them to read and reflect on the comments of users. For example: "Suggestions digest from forums in Eastern Europe".

Now, I'm using VantagePoint instead of OziExplorer. There are only a few problems.

I spoke with Richard at Magellan about this new version and he told me that the only difference is that it adds support for a new unit that is going to be released. Other than that there is no difference. There is however a version coming out in later that will have several changes...

A popup from VP came up right on my computer screen offering to update VP. I clicked yes and updated VP without even opening VP.

As far as I know it went well. When I did open up VP it tells me that I have 2.19.

Beyond that I couldn't tell you what the difference is.

I thought the VP was loaded more quickly.

I got it.
Thanks Sockeye
did you notice anything new?
By the way, I don't know why but I have never been able to download an update (VP or the Explorist firmware) directly from VP. I always end up with a message saying that the support site is unavalaible.

Ask VP to look for a new version.

...or look at the link to the 2.17 version and exchange the "17" with a "19" 😉
