It just took me a while to take them seriously.

That, I can understand

It seems to me that Maggie is starting to take us serious :woohoo:
When you folks give them your input, VP could become a real great tool.
I like that.

Sure. Just let me know exactly what you want me to do, or what to check or test.

My pleasure !

Not sure if I'm a power user, but I do have a uncanny nack at breaking VP!

And I have a bit of experience in software testing and usability. Let me know if I can help.

I am trying to change my ways.
This old dog likes learning new tricks, but I have a tendency to reach for my hammer to fix things when I'm frustrated.
This should be a good way for me to develop some patience. 😛

.... just don't get Phil going on his "I hate this useless program" thing again ..... lol !

But of course, Like the rest of us, Phil realizes that it's a natural thing, having problems with software and connections. Nothing is perfect, but with good input and proper programming we can get it closer to perfect !

That is funny - because you 3 gentlemen are the ones that I had in mind. What a "Power User" is, is someone that uses a variety of the functions in VP, or at least knowns how to use them and is well versed in the use of the software. The reason for this is because Richard at Magellan is wanting input from you! Ok, Phil - heres your chance to really make a difference about the way VP works. So, if it is ok I'm going to pass your names onto Richard....

I have been a VP power user, and then not, and now getting back to it. I've also been using it since nearly the beginning over 3 years ago without problems. I understand what it can and can't do. It has let me connect a few Tritons, GCs, and a 710 with very few problems. Although it has it's limitations, it has been much easier to use than the NG TOPO software, Mapsend, or Delorme Topo USA. It is my preference for my tracks, waypoints, geocaches, and map viewing.

Besides that, it's easier than "power walking", safer than "power drinking", and less embarrassing than "power facebooking"

David, I'm not a VP 'Power User' by any means but if I can help I will.
I've complained, b*****d and moaned about VP so I feel I should be willing to try to improve it.

If you think someone who doesn't really understand how this stuff works could help in some way I'm willing to try.

David, what does a "power user" need to do? Using VP couple of times a week, at least twice a day or maybe since 2 years?

So, if you think, I could help you with whatever, count on me. (I just gave up a online game -tribal wars- so I have some time to spend...)

Ok guys, I'm looking for a couple of Vantage Point "Power Users" - I have a couple of you in mind, however, if you're a VP "Power User" I need your help - so please let me know if you're willing to help!

David
