I just downloaded one of them. :cheer:
Very, very nice! :woohoo:
I have been playing with the new map, go here for some screenshots;
I haven't done anything else with them yet but the trails on them are amazing!
I'll be out and about the next few days & will see how they look in some hilly terrain.
Thank you Sockeye!
Merry Christmas.

OH GOODIE!!!!! I can't hardly wait!!! REALLY glad I bought that 32 GB microSD now. Any idea as to the time frame for release?
I got a peek at the TopOSM website and those maps are really really nice. With your previous revamp I'm sure we all will be realing in the awesomeness when they do come available.

The maps are [strike]nearly[/strike] ready.
They are now online: OSM USA Topo
I planned to create one single map for the US, but it got to huge. The States are now split up in 4 maps:
- Alaska ~ 500 mB
- West ~ 1.2 GB
- Northeast ~ 1.5 GB
- South ~ 1.5 GB
Compared to the 2009 Maps4me US State series the amount of data is nearly 3x.
All maps come with:
1:24k NHD Water & Wetlands
1:~20k 2010/2011 Tigerlines Road & Railroad data
1:10-24k National Parks trails
3 arc seconds DEM
and many additional layers with OpenStreetMap detail information and 1.2 Mio POI
These maps are made for the Tritons and new eXplorist. To use them on the eX310 you will need do exchange the pre-installed basemap with a "basemap light" in order to have enough free storage space. This "basemap light" is already available for Europe and will be available for the US soon.
