I am with you all the way. However when I format the SD card, neither a Map nor a Tracks directory appears. I just created these on the SD card and am going to move the rmp file from the GPS memory to the Map folder on the SD card.
The rmp file does work fine where it is on the GPS.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the quick reply.
There is no MAP directory on the SD card. I suppose I will just go ahead and make one. Meanwhile I put an rmp file into the map directory on the GPS memory. What do I do to get the map active on the GPS.
While waiting for a response I will read the manual.
You MUST format the card before you do anything else with it.
After it is formatted the file structure I posted earlier will be on the card.
Please read my last two posts for instructions on how to format the card.
To activate a map bring up the four corner menu, tap the lower left corner, now tap 'Maps', it will take a few moments and then tap 'Detailed Maps', a list of maps will come up. Tap the box on the left to activate the map of your choice. A check will be in the box of the activated map.

The unit will show whatever map is activated no matter if it's on the card or internal memory, but the card MUST be formatted before you put anything on it.

I have had Tritons (500 and 1500) for several years. I sold my 1500 and bought a Garmin Dakota. My Triton 500 is now acting up so I just bought an Explorist 510.
I have installed a microSD card on the unit. I now want to load my old Triton rmp files on the unit. They were all created with Mikhail's program. I can correct them with Sockeye's fix.
However, I do not know where or how to load the files. I presume that I should load them on the microSD card. but in what directory?
Can I just copy the files from my computer to wherever they should go on the card?
All answers are appreciated.
