No chance for me πŸ™ I try several times to download a Pocket Query. I set the format to GPX 1.01 in my profile, but I donΒ΄t have attributes like found in the database of my gc.
I delete "ALL Caches" and try it again.
All the attributes I set manually in my gc stay there like glue. One time i made the error to set an attribute "not found". There is no way to clear this, only is to set it on found and so on.
Were are these atrributes stored in the gc?
and how can I get the right attributes from my downloaded pq?

DOH! Just found them. I wonder how many times I went through this process and they were loaded. So just to be sure I went through the process again after deleteng ALL geocaches. I loaded three files seperately and it worked. I think the problem was how I was sorting them. When I read that the GC came with the preloaded caches I wondered if that was going to be a good thing for me. I'm guessing there is a way to create databases or folders but that will give me something else to learn.
Thank you for you offer of help.

Nancy

1. First I connect the gps to the pc
2. In the popup box I select to transfer pictures using media import
3. Select file to send to gps unit
4. click to download
5. the geocaching window pups up.
6. I click check device, nothing
7. I click download and get Download has finished successfully!
8. I disconnect the gps and I'm thinking it should be near the top since it will be nearest to me. I see nothing but the files that came loaded on the gps.

I would appreciate any help.
I did download the version of software from the magellan site which did help me get a little further. Before I did that the gps wasn't ever recognized.

Have you downloaded (from the Magellan website) their "Communicator" application and installed it on your computer?

geocaching name: cindy&randy
I (Randy) am the guy, and therefore entitled to hold and control the TV remote and of course the GPSr.

If you're not getting attributes, make sure you're set to receive them. The default is GPX 1.00, you need 1.01. Go to Geocaching.com and:

Click my profile

Click on your account details (in orange)

Make sure you have GPX 1.01 in the box, if you don't click change and fix it.

Your next round of pocket queries should include the attributes.
