Yes. Just use the subscription card that came in the box with the unit. With the PQ you also get more info from the cache page, logs, etc. Do a few queries for around where you live and / or cache, copy the GPX files to the units, and bingo ! Just remove the file that's in the unit, top xx caches or whatever it's called.

do they still do the 30 day free premium membership to gecaching.com with the new units?
you can sent to gps from site, but with premium you can run a pocket query and cover more ground quicker in loading the gpd

Correct, unless you load more from GC.com, the preloaded ones are the
ones you will see on your unit.

A couple of days ago I purchased the Explorist GC and am just learning how to use it. When I select Geocaches from the main menu the nearest ones that are displayed are about 60 miles away even though I know there are others that are much closer. Should it show caches closest to my location or are they simply preloaded at the factory? I have selected sort by nearest and my location in the gps is correct. Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!
