I won't post anything about VP until I try the next version, so I'm very happy to see that people seem to be getting the most out of Magellan's mapping program. Kiss

Well, that was harder then I thought it would be - it's easier for me to be a sarcastic, bombastic wiseguy when I'm frustrated by something. :X

I'll see how I feel in a couple of hours after I dig out of the 14 inches of new snow on top of the 18 inches we got a few days ago.

When in trouble or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout

All is well now! Simply loading the files using VP software solved the problem. Drag and drop may work for some GPX files, but not the ones I appear to be making.
THanks for all your assistance!

Slice,

A couple of questions - is there something entered in the "Owner name" and "Placed By" fields in all of the caches? I ask this, because there was a problem with the Tritons that if certain fields were empty they wouldn't load. Second question, can you please email be one of the GPX files that you're having a problem with - I want to take a quick look at it and then I'll forward it to Magellan.

Thanks,
David

Can you take a screenshot of the export page right before you click OK to make the GPX file?

I have tried both GSAK and Garmin Mapsource. I create a new waypoint, wnter the info, save as GPX file and load into GPS. Works on my Motorola Milestone phone, and my Touch Diamond.

What are you using to make the GPX file?

For some reason when I create a GPX file from information I enter myself (not downloaded from Groundpeak, etc), my GC will not show all caches in the file. Usually it only shows one cache, the first one in the file. All info displays properly for it. If I place the file in the waypoints directory, all caches show up, but I cannot see the description, or hints. These same files work great on two other devices I own. I tried creating the files with both GSAK and Garmin Mapsource. Same result. What is going wrong?
