What about the ability to manually input coordinates? I am planning a road trip in June, and though I have an iPhone, I'd like to look up the closest GC to me with the iPhone, then would I just be able to put the Coords in the Explorist GC?

Hey, how about a way, to connect the GC to the iPhone and take Caches from there and put them on the GC?????

Any thoughts?

Thank you, I checked out those release notes, this is definitely a step in the right direction(updates. )Unfortunately I didn't read anything in there about making the font easier to read, or allowing you to manually put in coordinates, but I think if Magellan keeps the way they are heading now, they are gonna do some good in this market.

Thank you for answering my questions.

How well does the compass work? I know it's not an Electronic Compass, so you have to be moving for it to work. I have used the compass on my iPhone and I know it's a PITA but I also know that it's not a true GPSr.

The compass does a decent job of directing you accurately.

Are the common features that most people complain about like "Entering Coordinates" and "Small hard to read fonts" something that can be updated?

This should be easily remedied in a firmware update.

Read this post on Groundspeak's forum, but read it quick, because it will most likely be taken down. Beta release notes, to my knowledge, are not supposed to be released publicly.

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong manner. I had a couple questions before I make my purchase.
