I might just use option 1 since I only have 71 finds. Thank you for your help.

There are a couple of ways to do this. First you need to clear the history in the unit and then decide which way to want to address repopulating it.

Option 1 - download the "My Finds" GPX file from GC.com and log every cach "AGAIN" with the GC without uploading the field notes to GC.com. Yes, it sounds crazy but that is the only realy way to populate all of the history information in the GC.

Option 2 - Download SQL Lite and edit the database on your GC (AT YOUR OWN RISK). The directions on doing this can be found in the older post on this forum.

However, there is something that should be remembered. Everytime to log a cache through the GC your adding to the size of the history database and therefore adds data that has to be parsed by the little processor within the GC. Remember, although I love me little GC - it is bottom end unit and I found that after logging 1000 to 1500 finds through the unit the performance of the unit began to decline to the point that I reset all of the stats/history on the unit, which I now do everytime I reload the unit - which gives me a running total for the day instead of my total finds.

Hope this helps,
David

A few months ago I went to use my explorist GC and I had the same problem that everyone else seems to have at some point; the unit freezing up. So what I did was take the copy of another GC unit, that someone else had posted online for this problem, and replaced my GC software. So far that has worked fine.

What I want to know is that the persons GC software I used states that I have found over 1,000 caches when I have not. Is there a way to change the "stats" and the "awards" section of the GC unit to match what I have found on geocaching.com?
