Hi miniwhip,

thanks for the screenshots!
Could you please zoom in to 500ft in the area of the first screenshot, there should be a lot of ways in the woods.

I would like to see a screenshot of the area N49°29,800/E007°56,400.
It would be nice if one of the GC-Owners could upload a screenshot

Thanks

Does anyone know if I can load my Topo 3D maps to the GC? I use my topo info alot since my favorite caching is long hikes.

Thx in advance

No, my understanding is that you can only use the internally pre-loaded maps that come with it.

I'm glad to see you are raising your son right. As a guy, he has a birthright entitlement to hold and control the GPSr, TV remote, game controller, etc.

geocaching name: cindy&randy
I (Randy) am the guy, and therefore entitled to hold and control the TV remote and of course the GPSr.

I can understand that, that is why I have 3 Tritons - I take the time to load everything in mine, the other two get loaded with caches and that is about it. I do believe that this new unit is going to have a lot of positives for Geocachers and would love to see my boss by one, so I wouldn't have to load his Triton every couple of weeks and I'm sure they're going to take what they have learned and come out with some more powerful units and I look forward to seeing what they come up with - but I'll stick with my Tritons for a while.

He just needs to be able to get to the trailhead and around a bit. He's only 8 but loves to have the gps in his hands. If it's easy to use and can get you close it fits the bill. I still have my Triton and maps for me and my better half.

My 8 yr old can use the Triton without a decent map, pace around with it a bit, and give us the old 'found it' pretty quickly. It's priceless!

I guess that would depend on where you're caching!:P

Can someone post a screenshot of the GC zoomed in aroung Huntsville, ON? I'm thinking of getting one for my son's birthday but the map quality is the only thing holding me back.
