I check both forums every day, I may not have much technical expertise to input but I do have a lot of experience hunting, hiking & geocaching to share.
The Triton forum is invaluable to get the tritons working and I am very grateful for all the help I've gotten from the members and from our moderator.
The eXplorist Forum has already proved it's worth in helping to resolve the few problems with the GC.

When will an eXplorist Forum hat be available? 😛
I like the Triton forum hat I bought.

Great job on both forums Miniwhip, this is my semi-official pat on the head post. Kiss

I tend to agree. I will be working on that hopefully this weekend.

No, it isn't the content at all - actually I have both the TritonForum and this forum both setup on an RSS feed to my Outlook so I read every post that comes into both - and I agree, we do need to get more info up here on the new units - and I'll work on that. I just like the layout oand the functioning of the forums on the Triton side more than here - probably because I'm used to them, but I find them easier to get around! Not a big issue, just habit more than anything else. I know that Whip has put a LOT of time, money and effort into both and I'm thankful for both him and these forums...

What is missing, is content. If you want to get this forum runnig, you'll need to post interesting information.

What about details, screenshots and experience on the new X10 units by the beta testers? We have plenty here...

Man I hope so! Took me two months to put this site together. :S

To be honest - speaking for myself, I've spent so much time on the Triton Forum it almost seems like a home away from home! Also, just my opinion, but I like the site configuration/software used on the Triton Forums a lot more than the forums here. I find it much easier to get around!!!

my guess....tritonforum has had a much longer time in existence and exploristGC is a more simpler and solid GPS then Triton ever was (yes I own both). Bottom line is we needed need tritonforum to solve *many* problems and while eGC isn't perfect its flaws have been already been documented and are not that pronounced. triton units also have a lot more potential for 'hacking' and advanced features like typos to discuss.

Mostly we are just lurking here for some word about upgrades to address the remaining annoyances LOL

Why does the tritonforum get way more discussion about the explorist x10 models, and the explorist forum has nothing?

I (Randy) am the guy, and therefore entitled to hold and control the TV remote and of course the GPSr.
