Thanks Phil! Your right each icon shows up when your zoom out and have more than two waypoints, or geocaches in close proximity. Sure beats the clutter on my garmin.

It would appear to be symbols to show where waypoints and geocaches are when the map is zoomed out.
As you zoom in you can see what happens to them;

I see these displayed on my map when I zoom out, and they disappear when I seem in. I have tried deleting all of my waypoints and geocache but they still show up. They don't appear to represent anything, any ideas?
