Phil,
Will the Unit To Meters Conversion show the full 0.30480061, or does it change it to 0.304801 like in the Triton?
Thanks.

I have no idea, I punched in those numbers just to show the settings pages.

I've never used those settings myself, a few years ago a friend of mine borrowed my Meridian for a month or two because he had just lost his and was waiting for a replacement.
He showed me what he was doing with it but I don't remember much of what he explained.

OK, here's some screenshots of my 710 - the 610 has the same capabilities.
You will be very happy with the 610, it's much easier to use than the Meridian (I have a Meridian) just so much better all around.

Greetings,

I've been using a Meridian for work and recently drove off with it sitting on top of the Jeep. It actually still works except that one of the buttons came off. I am considering upgrading to a 510 or 610, but I need to know if I can set up the user grid to Lambert con here in East Texas. The following ins the procedure we use to set up the Meridian:COORIDINATE SYSTEM

PRIMARY
USER GRID

PROJECTION
Lambert con

LAMBERT CON

LATITUDE OF ORIGIN

LONGITUDE OF ORIGIN

LATITUDE STANDARD
Parallel 1 32.13333N
Parallel 2 33.96666N

Scale Factor 1.00000000

UNIT TO METERS CONVERSION
0.30480061

False East at origin

FALSE NORTH at origin

MAP DATAUM

Does anyone know if I'll be able to set the 510 or 610 up like this? I did a search on the forum, and found a thread that seems to indicate that I can indeed do so. I would just appreciate a little confirmation on this.

thanks,
nettak
