This should have been an obvious bug. Looks like poor quality control issue.

I just got a reply back from Eric, the product manager, and this is supposed to the number of caches found. I'm informed him that this isn't working as well.

I sent Magellan an email on this. They responded that the two fields right of the compass are supposed to be altitude and distance to cache. Apparently they don't know what the zero inside the circle is either

I believe both ‘GC_Life_Time_Found’ and ‘Geocaches_Found’ should be incremented when a geocaches is marked as found on the unit. ‘GC_Life_Time_Found’ in displayed on Geocache Summary page.

I have discovered what the 0 just right of the compass on the Geocache dashboard is coming from.

There is a setting in SETTINGS.XML:


0

I changed it to:


10

And the screen changed from 0 to 10

Apparently this is not getting updated on the EX510 when I click found on a geocache. Instead this line is updated:

905
