Hello Tuena,

Welcome to the forum. Your 710 can display the coordinated in three different formats. You need go to Setting and then Navigation and then change Primary Coordinate System to Degree/Minutes.

I suggest you download the manual which will help your with the different setting in the 710.,18,24

I use GSAK to load geocaches onto my 710 in the format of hours, minutes & seconds. (WGS84)

Today I met fellow geocachers at a sporting fixture & they were unaware of two new caches in the area. Thought I would be able to give them the co-ords but the 710 had converted them into a different format.

So from adding S 35° 21.172 etc via GSAK the 710 shows the co-ords as 35 degrees 19'34 0" S etc.

I checked the settings & they are WGS84.

Why does the 710 shows co-ords as described above?

Is there somewhere else I can look on the 710 to find the original co-ords entered via GSAK?

Am I doing something wrong in the settings?
