By the way, having the info bubble saved me a really hard climb this spring, I panned the map and saw a route to a saddle on the top of the ridge I was going to have to climb.
Putting a push-pin on the edge of a bog, tapping 'GO', then when I got there, I put a push-pin to my next target on the map, uphill near a stream, let me navigate the easiest bushwhack to the top.
No backtracking or circling around blindly looking for a route up.
That was the first time I used satellite images, panning the map and going to push-pins I placed on the map in an area I had never been to before. :cheer:
Worked like a charm, saved me at least 2 hours! :woohoo:

Thanks ! Phil
That is the setting I was looking for,I just found it frustrating when I was panning the map and the GO button would pop up.
I find it handy to pan sometimes with the map zoomed to 50' or so to see if there is an obstruction of some sort between you and your destination you are going to.

You can stop the quick info from appearing.
You'll get the push-pin only;

.
If you want the quick info you can pick the bar or bubble;

You can pick the bar to look like this;
.
Or the bubble to look like this;

.
It takes some practice but keep your finger on the screen and slide it to pan.
After you are in panning mode when you tap the screen you get a push-pin where you tapped.
Just tap the screen again to get rid of it.
If you hold you finger on the screen for 2 seconds without moving it you will get a magnifier that you can drag around the map;
