I called magellan and they told me to just sned it back and they will send me out a new one. Very polite staff on the phone and so far great customer service.

Make sure the factory screen protector is removed and look under the edge of the case above the screen.
It doesn't happen very often but there is a gap between the screen and the case, if some dirt or stuff is under the case it can cause some touch screen problems.
Just slide a piece of paper under the edge of the case to clean it out.

If that doesn't fix it I would recommend returning it for a replacement.

I just bought an explorist 610 and I am having a hard time using the touchscreen menus. It seems at times none of the menus will work and at othertimes only certain areas of the screen won't work, like say the lower half or lower left corner. At all times the "conformation" menu "yes" button never works. I am using a styles I stole from my kids nintendo ds so I cant blame it on my farmer fingers. Any tips or Ideas?
