Haysie,  We will venture a guess that the 5th digit of the serial number is a "6".

The iBoot failure cannot be repaired.  You must return the unit immediately to MAGELLAN for a new unit.

Please let us where you purchased this unit so that our members know to avoid purchasing 510 from this source.

So I bought a 510 today as I have an urgent requirement in the upcoming weeks and I thought I would do the right thing and run a software update as is plastered all over the Magellan website ......

Now I have the blue screen of death ..... Iboot FAIL .....

Can I fix this?
