I had such a problem in the Triton 500.
In the eXplorist 310 V-1.12 and later, symbols coincide with VantagePoint. I have not checked all the symbols of waypoints. Those that I need exactly the same.

For Triton I did table of correspondence. I can check Explorist.

It would be good not just add new symbols, but also be able to delete unwanted ones.

I have been unable to find anything on the x10 that corresponds to the Vantage Point graphics. At present we are limited to the predefined set only, but it would be nice if custom images could also be defined.

I was told that it was impossible to get PointPaste page in English. Please check it out.
I can choose any language.

The list of available point markers in the file c:Program FilesMagellan VantagePointMediaWaypoints32x32Order.txt
If the name is not specified, will use marker "Flag Orange".

The new version PointPaste(V2.9), you can choose from a list of markers. Names of markers are stored in sections [Markers] file PointPaste.ini. You can delete unnecessary lines.

Yes, Charles, it does help! Thanks.

The element must be closed and the and elements must be contained within the element.

In English, this means that each waypoint specification must be in the form:

Any name
Symbol identifier

Note that for each tag there is a matching end tag that includes a slash although additional elements may be nested within it. In this case, there is a tag at the end of the waypoint specification.

Finding the available symbol names is more complicated. Vantage Point contains whole series of predefined waypoint graphics, which are presumably available on the x10, but there does not seem to be any documentation. It is probably possible to add custom graphics, but I have never attempted to do this.

Hope this helps.

Copy as many fragments - as you need. Fill in each position and the point name. Coordinates must be in degrees.

Connect the navigator. Create a folder in it, for example, the "Import" and put the file there.
Find the menu ehplorist "Import" and open this file.

Paganel,
Like this? :

Waypoint Name
Flag Orange

VantagePoint, nor my eXploristGC, do not recognize it as a valid waypoint file. How can I fix it?

What I am trying to do is create a breadcrumb trail, not as a track or a route, but just a series of points on my map. What symbol do you recommend that is just a small dot?

As I promised, new version of the program writes coordinates as waypoints to GPX files and KML. Besides, she knows how much remains.

PointPaste Project

If the program will display strange words (Not English) - let me know. I will correct it.

I can write a special program that it is even easier.

For eXplorist has a program VantagePoint. You do not use it? VP is designed for this purpose.

You can enter Geocaches but the process is designed for inputting the details for a new Geocache.

If you just want to load coordinates to then set a goto, use add Waypoint. Bring up the menu, bottom left botton, then press Waypoints. Then press menu options, bottom right corner, then press Add Waypoint, then press Coordinates, and then press the displayed coordinates, then the particular coordinates you would like to change and enter the new coordinates. Then press the back arrow, left corner, then press Next, then press Save button, in the middle at the bottom of the screen.

You can change the name of the waypoint by pressing the name at the top of screen.

Graham.

Hello

I have an Explorist 510 and I want to know if it is possible to enter coordinates directly, without connecting it to geocaching.com and download a file with cache informations.

Because sometimes, I want to go to xxxx - xxx

Or is there any possibility to use other software or website to enter coordinates and then put them into the 510 ?

Thanks in advance 🙂
