Yes, it will read and use multiple files in the waypoints file.
You could load each waypoint as an individual GPX file;
One thing, if you end up with several hundred different waypoint files it will read & use them but the system will slow down a lot wading through them.
You are better of having them all in a few files.
Look into using GSAK to save, sort and load to the 710 your GPX files.
I use Vantage Point to store maps and tracks, that's about all it's good for.
I forgot to mention that any GPX files on the card will be read and used also.
The limit for waypoints is 2,000.
When in trouble or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout

Unfortunately, we have more than a year we ask the developers to make this possible.
Transfers all point in Vantage Point.
In any case, save all to the file GPX.
Sort out all the points and placed in folders.
Save the individual folders into separate files.
Remove from the program are those that you now do not need.
Disconnect GPS and remove all point.
Plug and transfer to GPS point that's just you have selected.

Is there any way to delete waypoints from a computer when the 710 is usb-attached? I don't see how to do it from VantagePoint. Deleting them manually one by one is going to take a LONG time.
