OK Question... How are we supposed to calibrate these jpg maps? I'm assuming with this program, you have to do the exact corners? This could prove tough.

Calibration can be done with OziExplorer. The tool can then read the respective *.map files.

Alternatively Global Mapper is my preferred tool to calibrate or read any other already provided calibration information.

If you have saved the gmap files of the scanned maps you can read the calibrated image corners there. Although Sockeye will have better accurate solution. 😉

Sure there is... B)

Use german quality software. Picos original tool

Micahels RMPCreator is not respecting the RMP specs, e.g. max size & resulution nore using the ESPG metrics needed for precise calibration.

DOH! Makes sense though. Any other way to get a scanned pic into a map?

None of the maps that I've made with TritonRMP will work on the eX610 and I spoke to Justin about it and he said that they know that there is a problem with that, however, since TritonRMP is not a Magellan product they really don't care. However, all of the maps that I've made with MOBAC have worked fine.

Later,
David

So far my old Triton maps made from scans of paper maps, JPG files or PDF files are NOT working on the X10 series. I've tried using Tritonrmp, with no luck, I get the dreaded red X. Any ideas?
