Well, it took a long time to finally rip all the way off.Frown
I first had the cord tied to the lanyard holder but noticed that the end of the back cover is outside of the rubber gasket.
So I drilled a small hole there.
I tested it by spraying a little water at the edge of the cover to see where the water went before I drilled the hole.Smile

Sure hope mine doesn't rip off like that.....way to improvise phil! Don't think I'd ever drill a hole in my case even if it doesn't compromise the waterproofness. I'd probably just duct tape the dang thing. HA!

Thank you David.
My fix works OK, it at least prevents me from losing it anyway.

Phil,

I just received a message from Jeff and he's going to see about getting some replacement covers to me... I'll let you know when/if I get them.

Phil,

I just asked if there is a way that we can buy replacements and if not, if there is a way that I can get a hold of some anyway. I will let you know what I find out.

Ok, I may as well post something now that I can.Laugh

This may not be a bug but the rubber cover for the usb plug on my 710 finally ripped all the way.
Does anybody know if I can get a new rubber gasket and/or cover for my 710?
It's well out of warranty.
Now to see if I can load a photo;Confused
Oh good, it works.Kiss
Here's what I did for a fix;
