Yes it's pretty good, but the two bottom brackets look like they could break when the GPSr is not in the cradle and you crash the bike. That's why I wouldn't use it on a bicycle or ATV.
For a bicycle mount I would recommend the Magellan handlebar mount that I reviewed earlier, it's more compact for mounting on handlebars.

The top doesn't flex at all.
The two bottom supports don't flex at all either.
The two arms with the rollers flex a little bit but not enough to be a problem. The arms are not as thin and flexible as they look. They don't move very much and without a lot of force because of the rollers.

I don't think it will be a problem.

Here's a video, the arms flex very smoothly and easily;

hmmm - not sure about the design of that cradle

There are too many "thin" bits hanging off it and as previously reported with my experience with the eX00 cradle, the constant placing and removal of the GPS from the cradle flexed the "thin" bit until it broke.

Maybe with this design, the "thin" bits (ie the top clip and the two bottom supports) don't have to be flexed to get the GPS into the cradle. Would that be right Phil?

WooHoo, :woohoo: The new RAM mount just got here!

It works much better in the truck than the Maggie mount, I can mount & remove the 710 with the cable plugged in.
I seems solid enough for car mounting but I would not recommend it for a bicycle/ATV mount.
The arms the rollers are on act as springs to hold the unit in.
The rollers rattle a little because they don't touch the unit, should be an easy fix.
The power and side buttons are accessible.
The speaker and camera are accessible also.

I used a surface mount instead of the suction cup I got with it.
All & all it's a pretty good mount.

Well, considering you've only been caching for 4 months!!! (I cheat and look at people profile's on Geocaching.com)... Trust me, I only started with an old Magellan Maestro and I only found 56 caches the first 3 years, so you've already passed me for that... But it wasn't until I got my Triton that things started going crazy.

It is kind of funny how the camera plays tricks on the eye like that, I guess it was because I was so close to the Triton.... This one does a little better job at keeping the perspective...

Ah, the prototype was the same color as the GC!

I met a new geocacher yesterday with a GC, that's about 10 people I've met on hiking trails & at caches in the past month with new Explorists.
They seem to be popular.

Phil,

You're quick! It isn't a GC, well kind of! It is actually a protype eX310... 😛

How did you order it a month ago?
I couldn't order it until the 21st on the RAM website.
I didn't see any pre-order options.

The status of my order 3 days ago was shipped.
Today the status of my order is "this item is not in stock yet, may be a delay in shipping"! :X

ARGHHH!
This is the first time I'm unhappy with RAM. 🙁
