Great 🙁 MiTAC doesn't ship to Australia and our new local distributor does not have these belt clips in stock (and there is no indication that they will in the future either).

Been looking on Ebay, but can't see any on there either.

Thanks Phil - I think I'll get one.

I have one and use it quite a lot.
When bushwhacking through really thick brush it can be a minor problem but it works well.
I took the stylus off because I kept hooking it on myself while removing the GPS. Plus I don't need the stylus anyway.

Generally, this belt clip is pretty good.

Do you have a report on what you think of it? I am now surmising that it is too exposed on the belt - unprotected and the scribe lanyard would get caught in bushes and branches when going through scrub?

The 'Add To Cart' button is now there, so if your in the market for a Magellan Belt Clip they are now available.

Graham.

Apparently the idiots running Maggie's website seem to think it's funny to put stuff we want but can't get on their site!
Or worse, they don't even know we can't order it!

Either way, I'm STILL not amused by their totally empty headed people running the website!

Still not available to "add to cart". I'll be ordering as soon as it is 😉

So is it me, or does no one else have the "add to cart" option on this thing either?

Maybe it's not quite available (in stock) yet.

For $20, I'd be inclined to try it.

I too would like a place to hang the unit when looking through a cache or standing around. Right now it swings around like a little pendulum and keeps reprogramming my screen settings! LOL.

I love the built in stylus.... not to worried about bumping it and breaking it because navigating in the woods or getting in the car are the times I have the GPS in my hands anyways. Just nice to have a place to put it when opening a cache or standing around talking.

If I have the urge still tomorrow I'll probably order one.

I want one! I am not too keen with the lanyard idea and have been hanging off waiting for something like this. If the GPSr can slide on and off easily and not like the tug-of-war effort that I sometimes have with the Magellan car holder, then I'll buy one.

Hope the Magellan dealer in Perth have them - we will be there today!

The web page for it says it has a quick-release detachment.
For me anyway when I want my 710 on my belt I use the case I reviewed a while ago, it's protected, easy to remove the unit and can carry spare batteries & stuff.

Whatever floats your boat. 🙂

I agree ! too heavy and it always ends up swinging around and banging into stuff, or screwing up the screen settings. I might order that clip, as an alternative to a lanyard with a carabiner clip, for walks and stuff where I don't need constant visual contact with the screen.

Yes it's new and it's just a so-so idea.
I had a similar belt clip for my cell phone, the first time I bumped into something it broke. Then the replacement broke when I got in a car with it on my belt.

So if you will never bump into things like trees, bushes, rocks, fence posts and don't forget to take it off when you get in a car I suppose it's OK.
