Ok, my 710 worked fine, but while using Vantage Point, i was asked to update my software/firmware. Dont it before, never an issue. I followed it all step by step. now my computer doesnt recognize the gps and when i power on the GPS all i see is a icon showing a computer and a gps connected by a cord.

does anyone here know haw to flash the gps to re-establish the original firmware?

Greg,

Somehow your GPS corrupted its internal memory and files.  There is ONLY ONE company that can repair this problem.  It is the Jungle Ghost staff.

You have just uncovered a good reason NEVER to use VantagePoint to do an upgrade.  Always do a FORCED UPGRADE.  All the upgrades are on the Jungle Ghost Website http://www.jungleghost.com/Explorist
