Yes. The NatGeoTOPO service in VP is unavailable.

But do not worry. You can use "SAS Planet" software to download online maps and convert it to Magellan RMP format.

Read this: http://www.magellanboard.de/vi.....038;t=6189

There are several map sources available, including ESRI / USA_Topo_Maps. Usable zoom levels are "z14" and "z16".  You also should input "TOPO!" as Product tag and "National Geographic" (witout quotes) as provider tag in RMP creation window.

Sorry but I do not understand.  What GPS were you using when it died?   We may have maps for your GPS.

I finally got up with someone at MagellanGPS. They refunded my subscription fee for NatGeo TOPO. They have no expected date that service will be restored. Don't know what to do now. Lost all my maps when my computer died. I only had a few saved in my gps and now I can't download any.

Yes.. I am also not able to connect.

I suggest that you check with Magellan to see if they are still offering this feature.  If they are then maybe your subscription expired.

I checked it as a "free connection".   Never bothered to subscribe.

Has anyone else experienced not being able to download maps from National Geograhic through the Vantage Point program.

I may or may not be able to login to the account, and even if I can, the maps won't download. After about a minute, the green "Connection" will turn red and reads "No Connection".
