contact magellan they offer a rebate for there GPS'S, the 310 has all the features of your gc but you can download free maps through mobile atlas creater.

No, the GC will not support adding maps.
It is a very basic GPSr after all.

I've had a GC for over a year now. It's a great paperless caching device.

It's biggest weakness is the lack of maps especially here in NZ where there is quite a lot of support for topo and street maps for Garmin devices.

Does anyone (a) know if the GC supports adding additional maps and (b) had any experience in doing this?
