Go here to see some full sized screenshots of VP I saved using Owley - VP Tracks

You can use Owley to crop the image to just the map or just a part of the map.

Of course I'm saving just the image of the maps, no map data at all.

Here's an example of a screenshot from VP.
I used Owely to save it as a .png file that is 1366 x 788 pixels and 575 KB.
Owley will let you crop the image and do some editing before you save it.

To post it on this forum I had to reduce the size to 400 x 225 and convert it to a .gif file at 46.6 KB.
I use Photoshop to edit pictures.

And here's a screenshot of this screen (before I added this photo).
I cropped it with Owely when I saved it.

I use a free screenshot saver add-on on my Firefox browser called Pixlr Grabber.
This is a pretty good screenshot saver, it saves the screenshot as a .png file.

Pixlr Grabber

I also have a free screenshot saver on my desktop called Owely - Owely

Owley is the one I use to save a screenshot of VP.

Hello All,

Usually when I want to save a screen shot of a Magellan map section, I will convert with Easy GPS and then either load it in Delorme or Garmin software and I can then save as my choice of format.

What I would like to have is a way to save sections in VP so I do not have to use other applications. I have checked for a "Save" or a "print to file" feature but do not see anything.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to save a map section in VP, for example as a .jpg or .pdf?

Thanks
