As the Explorists age various service parts may be required. Most are because of improper maintenance by the user. We reference parts as corroded battery contacts, broken screens. etc.
Magellan Explorist X10 Battery Corrosion DIY/Repair Kits
There is a fact that states that over 16% of all Magellan Explorist 510 - 610 - 710 GPS units sold will suffer Battery Corrosion. The reason being even when these units are turned off in fact they are not!! These units are always draining some current from the internal batteries which lead to a full discharge of the battery and corrosion. We are the only supplier that sell Battery Corrosion Kits for these units.
