It's not a big deal, just a little confusing now and then.

Any 710 post put under X10, that covers 510/610/710

There really is a lot to learn on these units, I'm still learning/relearning also.
So don't be afraid to ask any questions, we try to keep this forum friendly & helpful.

I realized where I'd missed that dropdown after the first commenter, I'm still getting used to this machine and really there is a lot to learn.
It was my mistake to post this here but I thought I was in the right place since I cant find a discussion place for the 710

OOPS sorry I was going with the heading of this post ( Display Geocaches on 710 ) not realizing it was in the GC forum .
I have the 710 and I can't get my caches to show on my main map at all.
even with doing what you say in you instructions regarding map options.

could you post a screen shot with a cache showing on the map please.
Thanks

Not your fault, somebody else posted it here.

But I still don't know what you mean by "main map".

Here's some screenshots.
First the settings pages;

.
Now with it zoomed way out,
Those red cherry looking icons indicate multible caches;

.
Now I'll zoom in;

.
I have 4083 caches loaded right now, most in Massachusetts.
Now zoomed waaay out;

This thread is posted under Explorist GC - Customize !
Is this for a 710 or a GC?
And what do you mean by main map?

On the GC - from the map press menu then scroll down to 'Map Options' under 'Geocaches' set it to 'Show All' then set it to 'Show Icons Only' or 'Icons & Name'

On the 710 bring up the four corner menu, tap "lower right" menu then scroll down to 'Map Options'

Am I missing something here ? I don't see any caches displayed on my main map . What setting do I need to change to get caches to display?

Quite right Morel, I found I had activated the right display but missed turning on the geocache icon. I'm still getting to know this new machine. Ive been using it for caching and it's fast becoming my GPS of choice over the Garmin Map60CSx and Garmin Map60. I cant wait for my windscreen and handlebar mounts to get here. . .

There are many settings to customize in "Map Options". You can find it from the bottom right 4 corners menu, or in tools/settings menu, or in the profile settings.

My 710 does not show the Geocaches that I have listed in the machine on the area map. How do I set/where is the settings to display geocaches on the main map please? My Garmin shows the caches as both done or not yet done on the screen as treasure chests, it seems inconceivable that Magellan missed that, yet I cant find the setting.
