Got a funny one tonight...after finding a cache I thought, "what the heck...sure, lets see what happens tonight with the next nearest cache". Clicked on yes and took about 5 minutes to bring up the first 2 entries....

1. Heard and Mcdonald Islands Mar Res; group: Land_use 2338 mi
2. identical entry to above

Then it took another 12 minutes to bring the next entry up....

3. Punta Arenas Group: City 2632 mi

Wow...that's pretty cool...I might have to ask for a couple more days off from work...

Got in the vehicle and started driving home and compass never lost calibration....still searching next nearest still over an hour has passed and still no more entries for next nearest cache... Oh well, thought it was funny and wanted to share.

Yeah, I recently updated to the new 5.93 (or whatever 5.xx firmware for my 710) and it shows the nearest cache 2300 miles from current location. Hmm....gonna need a few more vacation days for that one. Something about a Marine Refuge or something can't remember what it was but it only showed 2 and they were both marine refuge areas soooo...dunno bout what's goin on but it isn't good.

 My explorist 610 seems to work when it want's to with find next closest geocache. Today it was working okay when I selected it but then when I went to read the description of the cache all the caches had disappeared entirely. The only way to bring them back was to power it off and back on. Happened at least 3 times today alone.

Hi David,

I believe Magellan is aware that the ‘Find next closest Geocache?’ routine is producing inconsistent and incorrect results.

My 710 is currently only returning one next cache and always the same one. I could no doubt delete possible the BIN file and that may change the result.

Does Magellan need any help on this one? I could send any files that maybe of assistance.
