Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place.

To access the tracks you have on the unit : TouchScreen -- BL (bottom-left corner) -- Tracks -- and all of the stored tracks will appear there, in a list. You can click on one, then view it on the map, follow that track, or numerous other options. Clicking the little document thingy on the bottom-right corner will bring up the options.

To download the tracks and put them on the unit, first they must be in .gpx format, when downloaded from the site that you had mentioned. If they're not in that format, you'll need to convert them first, then load them to the unit. Vantage Point, the free download from Magellan can do that.

You'll need to download and install Vantage Point onto your computer, and after that you can copy your unit's Background and Detail maps onto the computer, and view the maps on the PC.

Once you've done that, download and save your tracks from your website onto the PC, then Import them, with VP. You'll just need to follow the instructions on the screen to import them, then you'll see them on the map, when selected on VP under My Journal (all the waypoints, tracks, geocaches are stored there). You can select or unselect any tracks you want to see or hide. From there you can Sync (Transfer from PC to Unit), select the waypoints, tracks, whatever and transfer them to the unit.

If you have any other questions, just come back !

I bought the 610 as my first handheld. I use it on my dual sport with a handlebar mount. I ordered the printed owner's manual and read it though admittedly glossing over info on geocaching.

Through reading and trial and error, here's what I figured out so far: a) How to highlight my current track and b) how to back track.

What I have yet figure out is, 1) how to access the tracks that are stored on the unit. 2) how to download a track from a site like ADVRider and load it onto the 610. 3)How to load the track so the GPS will tell me where I am in relation to the track.

After reading this site, it appears that there is some software that I need to get familiar with, Vantage or something, is that what I need to get these essential functions going?
